Great-horned Owl Fledglings

Bighorns and Birds

Search for Colorado's state mammal in the foothills of the Rockies

About

Spend half a day exploring a beautiful mountain canyon searching for bighorn sheep with naturalist Dr. Ryan Dibala. Along the way, you can find foothill birds like Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay, American Dipper, Townsend's Solitaire, Spotted Towhee, Common Merganser, Common Goldeneye, and Golden Eagle. This tour runs October - March only, as sightings of bighorn sheep become less reliable in the spring and summer. If you're looking for the perfect half-day wildlife tour outside these months, please give us a call and we can customize the perfect outing for you.

TESTIMONIALS

This tour is a MUST DO! Ryan is such an accommodating and salt of the earth kind of human. He did not disappoint! We hiked out to an amazing vista with breathtaking views all around for a wonderful picnic, stopping to appreciate the abundance of wildlife the Rocky Mountains has to offer along the way.

This is hands down the best guided tour our family

has ever been on. Ryan’s personality, charisma and abundant kindness made it feel as though we were all family.
