About Red Rocks Nature Hike & Hot Springs Adventure
Experience the best of Colorado in a single unforgettable day. We’ll meet in front of Flatirons Coffee (in Boulder) or Hopdoddy Burger Bar (near Union Station in Denver), where we’ll load the vehicle and head out towards the mountains. We’ll begin with a guided nature hike through the world-famous Red Rocks Park, where towering red sandstone formations frame sweeping views of the Front Range. Along the trail, learn about local wildlife, geology, and the natural history that makes this area one of the state’s true treasures. From there, enjoy a scenic mountain drive into the high country as we make our way to a quiet subalpine lake—the perfect setting for a peaceful, freshly prepared picnic lunch surrounded by pines, rugged peaks, and crisp alpine air. After lunch, we’ll continue to the historic mining town of Idaho Springs for a rejuvenating 2-hour soak at Indian Hot Springs, one of Colorado’s most iconic thermal pools. Whether you choose to relax in the warm mineral waters, float beneath tropical greenery in the geothermal dome, or simply unwind after a day outdoors, this is the ideal way to end your adventure. You will be dropped off around 4 pm in front of the same location you were picked up at in the morning. This full-day experience blends nature, scenery, local history, and deep relaxation—crafted for travelers who want a rich, authentic taste of Colorado’s outdoors.

Red Rocks Hike & Hot Springs Adventure Tour Reviews
This tour is a MUST DO! Ryan is such an accommodating and salt of the earth kind of human. He did not disappoint! We hiked out to an amazing vista with breathtaking views all around for a wonderful picnic, stopping to appreciate the abundance of wildlife the Rocky Mountains has to offer along the way.
This is hands down the best guided tour our family
has ever been on. Ryan’s personality, charisma and abundant kindness made it feel as though we were all family.
Best bird tour we ever took. Ryan’s knowledge is unsurpassed. We saw Golden eagles, Swainson’s, Red tail, Burrowing Owls, waterfowl, and loads of songbirds…52 species in one day. Thanks!
My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Beak and Talon tour! Ryan helped us learn SO much in just the one adventure. Aside from getting us so close to six species of mesmerizing raptors, Ryan is such an experienced, fun, informative, and hospitable guide. Usually the thought of spending the entire day in the car with a complete stranger would make us shy away from an experience like this, but Ryan was so genuine and interesting to speak with the time truly flew by.
Any adventure with Birding Man I would confidently say is an experience you wouldn’t want to miss!
