About Big Horns & Birds Half-Day Tour
Spend half a day exploring a beautiful mountain canyon searching for bighorn sheep a local expert naturalist guide. Along the way, you can find foothill birds like Woodhouse’s Scrub-Jay, American Dipper, Townsend’s Solitaire, Spotted Towhee, Common Merganser, Common Goldeneye, and Golden Eagle. This tour runs October – March only, as sightings of bighorn sheep become less reliable in the spring and summer. This tour is a MUST DO! Ryan is such an accommodating and salt of the earth kind of human. He did not disappoint! We hiked out to an amazing vista with breathtaking views all around for a wonderful picnic, stopping to appreciate the abundance of wildlife the Rocky Mountains has to offer along the way.
